(Editor’s note: The inscription on the first photo reads, “To Bob, I love you (something blurred, maybe “love”), Bee.” The one on the second says, “Your loving wife, Bee.” I’m not completely sure, but I think these were taken while Granddaddy was stationed on Oahu, Hawaii, in January 1944.)

  1. We had that grass skirt for a long time, and I remember playing in it as a little girl. I am not sure what happened to it. These pictures make me happy. ūüôā
