Blueberry Congealed Salad

2 C boiling water
2 3 oz pkg grape jello
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 ” ” Blueberry Pie filling

– Congeal together.


8 oz cream cheese
1 ct. sour cream
1/2 C powdered sugar
1/2 C chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla

(Editor’s note: The two recipes below are slightly different, in that the second does not call for vanilla in the topping. Evidently several versions of this recipe exist, and Mama/Aunt Penny says she sometimes follows a “Dreamy Blueberry Salad” by a Mrs. David W. Novak, a recipe listed in the New Bern churchwomen’s cookbook called “Pass the Plate.” Aunt Julie has another version from Grandma that calls for fresh blueberries … but we’ll wait for her to return safely home from Peru before we worry her about that!)
