Peach ice-cream

In 3-Wilhelmina (Bee) Garris King 1918-2007 on January 9, 2010 at 9:00 am

(my low-calorie recipe)

4 Cups powdered milk
2 quarts water
14 grains sacharine dissolved in 1 cup boiling water
4 egg yolk mixed with 1 Cup sugar
4 egg white whipped until stiff –
1 quart ripe peaches mashed and mixed with 1/2 sugar –

Mix all together and freeze.

(Editor’s note: Can you even buy saccharin tablets anymore? Wonder what the equivalent would be of Sweet ‘N Low, Equal or Splenda?)

  2. Actually, the recipe says “mashed and mix with 1/2 cup sugar”. šŸ™‚ Yum, Yum… Wonder why you have to separate the eggs and whip the whites?

  4. Michaela, you have saccharin tablets? What do you use them for? How are they different from, say, Splenda?
