Egg & Sausage Casserole

Fry out 1 lb sausage
8 eggs
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 American cheese cut into small pieces
1 cup whole milk
2 cups bread crumbs

Mix together & bake 375 degrees F for 1 hour. Serve with grits or as main entree on lunch plate. Maybe cooked as a quishe or may substitute other meat as ham, bacon or crab meat.

(Editor’s note: What’s the measurement of cheese? Should that be a half pound? A half slice?)

  1. The sausage and egg casserole would have 1/2 pound of American cheese – so 8 oz. I think the secret ingredient is mushroom soup… this is one of our favorite breakfasts.
