Key Lime Cake

1. 1 Box Lemon Cake Mix
2. 4 eggs
3 1 1/3 cup oil
4 3/4 C fresh Orange Juice
5. 1 (3 oz) box Lime Jello (dry)
3 limes
6 T 10x powdered sugar

Mix 1st 5 ingredients together. Bake in 3-9 layers at 350 degrees. Mix juice of 3 lime & powdered sugar & spoon over warm layers.


1 8 oz cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick oleo softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts optional

Mix Cream Chese & oleo until well blended. Add sugar, vanilla & nuts. Mix well – spread on cake or you can sprinkle nuts on layers after you put on icing. Which ever you prefer.

  1. I don’t remember Katherine, but Granddaddy and I were in different divisions for a very long time. We were only in the same division for three months back in 1967. Katherine could have been in Avionics Division and I wouldn’t have known her. Having said that, ‘Kathy Daniels’ rings a bell, but that name may have come from the Daniels family (of New Bern Coca-Cola fame).
