Vanilla Wafer Cake

In Uncategorized on March 14, 2010 at 10:00 am

1 lg box of vanilla wafers
6 eggs
2 c sugar
2 sticks margarine or butter
1 can of coconut, 3.5 oz
1/2 lb of pecans
1/2 c of milk

Crush vanilla wafers & mix with other ingredients. Bake at 300 degrees for approximately 1 3/4 hr.

(Editor’s note: The two recipes below appear to be about the same. It looks like Grandma/Momma/Bee acquired the first through a recipe swap, since it’s photocopied.

The second recipe comes to us by way of one of those recipe swaps by mail — you know, one of those “mail this to seven friends and you’ll get a thousand recipes back” kind of things. I sent a request to Grandma/Momma/Bee, who sent a request on to her First Baptist friend Julia Thomas. And the second recipe is what Julia Thomas mailed me back.

I wonder if Julia Thomas might be the source of both recipes listed here?)

  1. Somehow I don’t remember this cake, but do remember banana pudding using similar ingredients – especially the vanilla wafers. Vanilla wafers were also great with peanut butter! And even by themselves!
